Panagiotis Kourtesis received his BSc in psychology from State University of New York and continued his career as clinical psychologist and researcher at the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Patients Association. He continued his postgraduate studies and research at the University of Strasbourg, and at the University of Edinburgh, where he obtained an MSc in human cognitive neuropsychology from the latter. At that time, he joined the neuropsychology team of Astley Ainslie Hospital, where he worked on cognitive stimulation and relaxation interventions. He received his PhD Experimental Psychology & Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh and the University Suor Orsola Benincasa of Naples. During his PhD, he was VR specialist and workshops coordinator at uCreate Studio of University of Edinburgh (uCreate Studio), and he affiliated with the human cognitive neuroscience research team of the Department of Psychology (PPLS), and the interdisciplinary research centre "Scienza Nuova" (Scienza Nuova). Panagiotis Kourtesis is also a Virtual Reality software developer certified by the University of London. He has a knack for interdisciplinary research, cultural, and educational projects. His current research interests include cognitive neuroscience and neuropsychology, human-computer interaction, XR (VR, AR, MR), and psychophysics. Currently, he is a post-doctoral researcher (Human-Computer Interaction & Cognitive Neuroscience) at the National Institute of France for Research in Computer Science and Automation (INRIA), Member of the Hybrid Department - 3D Interaction with Virtual Environments using Body and Mind (Hybrid Dpt). He works in the EU - Horizon 2020 - Tactility project (https://tactility-h2020.eu/).
