Vigna radiata (L.) R. Wilczek, commonly known as Mung bean, is one of the most important pulse crops grown from tropical to sub-tropical areas worldwide. Mung bean is reported to help prevent the loss of nails and hair, reduce the risk of hypercholesterolemia and coronary heart disease, and decrease the absorption of toxic substances.
